Constantly Exceeding Expectations
GMI Transport in Sheffield was first established in 2005 by Mark Sissons, operating one 7.5 tonne vehicle. Today, through continuous improvement and a drive to constantly exceed customer expectations, we employ over 30 staff working from 2 sites in Sheffield and cover the whole of the UK and Ireland.
We have a state-of-the-art fleet of over 20 vehicles and an extremely dedicated, experiences and knowledgeable team who can help with any of your transport requirements.

Continuous Improvement
Our trucks are state of the art and fitted with low emission engines, together with low sulphur diesel and environmentally friendly recyclable parts, which ensure we continue to reduce our carbon footprint in every area of the business. We also continuously monitor all lubricants and cleaning materials used on our trucks and equipment to comply with strict environmental policies.
Our remote-control cranes are fitted with all the latest safety devices and are certified and tested every 12 months. They ensure safety and efficiency in equal measure and have become a standard feature on most of our trucks over the past years, whilst the latest articulated and drawbar trailers all have road friendly air suspension and use the most modern braking systems available on the market today.
Driving Excellence
We pride ourselves on the professionalism and conduct of all our truck drivers. They act as ambassadors not just for GMI Transport, but for our clients' and the companies they represent. All of our drivers are smart, uniformed and polite, but more than that, they understand that their attitude and their driving have to be of the very highest standard.
We maintain regular driver and staff training programmes, so we continue to be at the forefront of the transport and warehousing industry, because we understand that our team of staff, their professionalism and their skill are absolutely key to our success. This is reflected by the wide ranging and varied customer base we have.
